We had a pretty low key day around the house...I didn't do my dinner-in-a-pumpkin for the first time...just wasn't feelin' it...so instead we did the good old standby of taco soup and cornbread.
We didn't let the pouring rain stop us from trick-or-treating!
We decided to forgo the cupcake and went with the nice warm dinosaur for Elsie
After one street we were soaked to the bone...the girls needed a potty break and so we came inside and they wanted to get out of their wet costumes and they said they were finished...what the...Tom and I had to talk our children into trick-or-treating!!! "You guys...it's the one time a year you can knock on any door and get a treat...now get back out there and let's get some candy!" So they ended up wanting to go back out but in dry clothes and so they found some random clothes in the dress-up box and away we went for round 2 with a pink princess and Link...you know...from Zelda:)
Cohen had a nice sugar buzz and stickified everything...but he was happy as can be!
While we were out we were told not to miss this house that does doughnuts...I've passed this house many times and it has a sign that says baker open and i've never been in...so it was fun to finally go and see what it is all about. The daughter is carrying on the tradition of her father and bakes every friday all sorts of yummy things and every Halloween they give out doughnuts...How fun...we will definitely be stopping in again!
The Spoils...my neighborhood had lots of chocolate and king sized stuff and it's sad to admit but i've made the biggest dent in the stash...the kids just like the taffy, tootsie rolls and gummy candies and have hardly touched anything else!

That was great seeing the kids' pictures of their trick-or-treating since I wasn't around! They really did cash in on lots of candy! You and Tom and such great parents to provide your kids with good memories.
Whoah! You guys have way better candy from us. Not that we need it around here anyway :).
That cupcake costume is SO FREAKING CUTE. Good job Hill!
Such a cute family and I love the cupcake costume and Tom's face after his bike ride.
