July 4th weekend

We had a fun weekend celebrating independence day! We started things off by going to the Concert in the Park that Centerville City puts on and they had all the booths and bouncy toys up (in which Tom displayed a very graceful back sommersalt trying to get Elsie out:))and they had an imitation Beatles band playing that was so much fun! The band played for two hours, and the girls loved dancing around and being crazy...seriously...who doesn't love singing along and dancing to Beatles music?! The fireworks started at 10:00 and they were so good!

The next day we met Grandma Joyce and watched the parade and the girls had fun collecting candy. It was an overcast day and perfect parade weather. After, we went to Cafe Rio for lunch (yummy) and then dropped Grandma off. Then we headed to the park for some cotton candy, snow cones and a new fish to add to our family...randomly named "Hammock Boy" by Adelyn:) After the park we went home and packed to go up to Oakley for a BBQ at Tom's friend JD's house and had fun seeing some friends and eating good food. Then we went and spent the night at my Mom's house in Woodland. We had fun by a fire, played catch, played games, went to church, ate good food, swung in hammocks, rode 4 wheelers, napped and just enjoyed being up there!

The weekend was finished by stopping by Tom's parents to see the Lake cousins who had just arrived and we all went to a park and played baseball and other games! Whew!....it was a very nice unplanned, go with the flow weekend that turned out better than if we had planned:)
