Thanksgiving weekend we took the girls up to Alta to do the free skiing they have which is awesome! We did the rope tow and then Sunnyside lift for a couple hours. It was Adelyn's 2nd time skiing and Elsie's 1st and they did a great job and we had a lot of fun despite the bitter cold temps. Tom's got some cute pictures on his phone!
Well I think it's an official tradition as this is our fourth year going up and spending at night at the Snowbird Cliff Lodge. Every year with our punch pass we buy for skiing we get a free night stay at the lodge which makes it really such a good deal for each ski day. It's always fun to stay in a hotel with the nicely made beds, the cute little soaps and shampoos, the mini fridge, the view, the elevators and escalators which provide good entertainement...but the thing the kids love most is the hot tubs!!
Grandma Joyce was nice enough to watch Cohen for us so we could be with the girls and then she brought him up to Snowbird and treated us to a nice mexican dinner. Rita was able to join us as well!
We went swimming again after dinner which was fun to have it totally dark. The pools were pretty crowded at night and at one point everyone thought that the vapor from the hot tub was crystalizing because it was like cold acid rain...the next morning we realized they were making snow...snow machines blowing into the pool:)
Early the next morning...right back into the hot tubs!
Surrounded by some seriously beautiful mountains!
Cohen's landing pad...the water was hot so this step made it just right!

How fun is this?! Ah, wish we could have been there with you guys, I totally would've been up for that. That's awesome you're making it a tradition...so great that your teaching your girls young!
What a sweet little family you and Tom have. It was fun to see your family at a spot that Tom has probably been to a lot growing up. I know he loved snowboarding and other snow sports. You do a great job recording special family times!
