24th of July weekend

We had a fun filled weekend up at my Mom and Ennis' house in Woodland last week...I missed taking pictures of the morning flag ceremony where the boy cousins presented the flag and raised it on the flag pole and then we recited the Pledge of Allegiance, Ennis gave a speech and Grandma Geri talked about why we celebrate Pioneer Day ... we all sang the Star Spangled Banner and then Ennis has this mini Cannon that he fires (the size is deceving with how loud it was)...and then the celebrations officially begin! What a fun tradition this is becoming!

One of the first things we did is that while the Mom's and Dad's went on a long road biking ride (those moms not 9 months pregnant)...Mom and Ennis arranged a fun little field trip for the kids...we went down the street to a little farm where this family raised goats, ducks, bunnies, and had other fun animals like baby chinchillas and a parrot.

The girl had the kids all laugh and then the parrot would let out this big hilarious laugh!

First day of making boats for the upcoming race...the kids had so much fun collecting pine cones and sticks to add to the craft supplies that we had and they all were so creative in coming up with unique boats and names:)

Extended family reunion on Saturday where we had the first ever "Aposhian Regatta"...Ennis came up with this idea to race boats down the canal and so we all had fun making our homemade boats and seeing whether or not they would make it down the canal.
